Real frankincense is costly. Many imitations and adulterated versions exist. Frankincense from India is inferior to the highly complex frankincense of East Africa and Middle East. It is also often adulterated or even completely synthetic. Our Kenyan essential oil is produced by a native Kenyan who has been purchasing resins from the Maasai people for decades. Unlike the gasoline like aroma of many frankincense, our Dakara, or black, Frankincense Essential Oil is pleasantly aromatic. This superior oil has a slight powdery note.
